The last Fireside Session of 2012 was a resounding success! On 16 November, a packed-out Glendalough Green sang along to traditional music from the Stacey Quartet, learned all kinds of new facts about local fauna from Kathy Ryan of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, was enthralled by Imelda Duffy’s wonderful storytelling and could barely be torn away from the jazz and blues stylings of Peter Power and JJ Manning.
The very first Fireside Session of 2013 will take place 25 January in Glendalough Green (the Top Shop), Laragh, at 7.30pm.
Admission is free although donations are – of course – gratefully accepted! There will be wine, coffee and tea available to purchase. Speakers will include Clara Vale artist Marc Reilly and writer and educator Shirley McClure. Be sure to join us there for music, banter, networking, and even a little learning!
